It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

A lot of things can happen in one week...

Yep the lights are up.  Super simple snowflake lights, but I love them.  They gently flash and sparkle a little and they make me happy.

Here are photos I took of the kids when we got the tree.  Home Depot has the best deals...our tree is over 6 ft and it was only $39.95. We did decorate the tree, but I don't have photos of it...at least not any to share yet.

 It was cold the night we got the tree (last Monday).  See the kids all bundled up.  But here we are one week later and can you believe it was 85 today.  You gotta love the California weather, it was a great weekend!

We also went to Trey's school Christmas program.  He was the navigator, with a solo and all.  He did great! The whole class did.  I took a video on my camera of his solo I have to see if I can get it off the camera and onto the blog??

Tomorrow we are going out to finish up the shopping and then I have the task of wrapping it all!

Getting Ready for Christmas

So much to be done...

put up lights........not yet

decorate.......nope

get a tree.......soon

presents........more than half bought

wrapping.........none (you have to buy paper first)

Trey's school Christmas program is Wednesday.  That I am ready for. Costume is ready and hung by the door for dress rehearsal tomorrow.

Do you see why I cannot finish a December daily.  The one I started last year I got 60% through, and I figured I'd finish the rest in January.  Guess what? It is still sitting there! Gasp! I know, a whole year later! I guess I will just finish it this year (I did make post it notes on all the days so I still know what I wanted to do for the days I did not complete).

Are you doing a December Daily? I love them and all the pretty ones I see on the blogs, but how does everyone get it done with all the other things to do? And yes I made my book ahead of time.  But with work and church and then all the extra events in December I just don't get to finish.

Oh well!  I will just get my fix finishing last years and no one will know the difference...right?

Now I gotta go...look at the the stuff I have to go do...lol!
