Making your own supplies

My new favorite thing...

Making my own glitter spray. I saw this over at two peas with the Ranger Perfect Pearls. But the package of Perfect Pearls has only 4 colors in it. At Michael's they sell this pack of Pearl Ex. It has 12 colors per pack, and there are 2 different color packs to choose from. You also need a pack of Tim Holtz's mini misters (actually, there are only 3 in a pack and I need to go get some more of these, so maybe 2 packs of the misters).

It's easy, here's what you do. Put water in the mini mister and add a small amount (I use the tip of a small paint brush) of the Pearl Ex powder, a few drops of re-inker in what ever color you want. Or if your don't have this a few drops of paint. Shake. And viola....it's ready to use.

The Pearl Ex cost $27.00 at Michael's but with the 40% off coupon it's a great deal.

I have some glimmer mist and I think my home made ones are just as good. So go try it!

Hope you all have a great week!

Kim

Great tip Kim. Ill have to try that. Buying premade glimmer mist can be expensive and if you only need a small ammount of Pearl Ex you would end up with enough glimmer mist to last a life time.
Yes I have opened a Etsy shop. I was looking for little buttons and brads for my pages buy couldnt find exactly what I wanted so now Im making them myself.
Stay tuned because Im having a give away soon.
Thanks for dropping by today.
